Funny Parenting Memes

I don’t know what it is about memes, but when I’m feeling down, stressed, or anxious, a good meme honestly boosts my mood. And when I come across a funny parenting meme that resonates with my experience, I seriously wish I could bottle it. 🙂

I follow lots of funny parents on Instagram and Twitter and the meme production is seriously on point. Some parents have such a great senses of humor about parenthood and they deserve high praise for their choice memes. So while I couldn’t include every hilarious parent on the list below, I wanted to share some of my favorite funny parenting memes.

Funny Parenting Memes for Self-Care

They say laughter is the best medicine and when it comes to parenting, you need all the help you can get. So getting your daily dose of laughter through things like parenting quotes and parenting memes makes a great addition to your self-care routine.

Not only does a good laugh bring about relaxation, but funny parenting memes serve as excellent reminders that you are not alone. There’s an entire community of parents out there, struggling, stressing, and enjoying the parenting journey, just like you.

Laughter Reduces Stress

According to an article published in the Canadian Family Physician (2009), “laughter and humour are therapeutic allies in healing.” The article goes on to discuss how “laughter can bring about feelings of being uplifted or fulfilled…followed by a period of muscle relaxation”.

More Health Benefits of Laughter

What’s more, the Mayo Clinic offers up even more health benefits of humor. Here are a few of the benefits they cite:

  • Improved Organ Functioning
  • Stress Relief
  • Muscle Relaxation
  • Improved Immune System
  • Pain Relief
  • Improved Mood

While studies are limited regarding the use of laughter for improved mental health, based on existing research, and my own personal experience, I would conclude that funny parenting memes are good for your health! 🙂

Funny Parenting Memes for Self Expression

I use memes to boost my mental health by scouring social media for my favorites, but I also use memes to express myself and my own experiences. I am definitely not the funniest out there, but I have fun. 🙂

When the mood strikes, I’ll create a funny parenting meme based on something ridiculous that just happened, or a random thought I had about the challenges of parenting.

Sometimes, I use my Canva membership to create funny memes with their amazing software. You can get a free account with Canva and get access to loads of their tools.

I also use the Mematic app and the MEME Maker app, too. If something wild or crazy happens related to motherhood, I might jump on one of the apps and create a quick meme. It’s a lot of fun. Regardless of whether the meme gets likes or not, it’s feels good to express my #momlife stress in meme form. 🙂
