Who We Are

The Centered Parent is a strength-based parenting blog created by mom and licensed counselor, Hayley Gallagher, MA, AT, LPC.

Our website address is: https://thecenteredparent.com.

Our Purpose

The Centered Parent is a parenting blog that’s sole purpose is to provide useful information to its readers. The articles are intended to be informative and helpful, and are no replacement for the guidance of a trained medical or mental health professional.

With the exception of the occasional expert round-up, where I include quotes from field experts, I am the sole author of every article and post published on The Centered Parent.

I am a parent, licensed professional counselor, certified family-based therapist, and trained art therapist, and I use this blog to share my experience and expertise. I do so freely in the hopes that parents and families will benefit.

BUT, please allow me to make the following distinction: though I am an expert in my field, I am not an expert on you, your kids, or your family. My articles and blog posts should not be used in place of professional advice, clinical guidance, or medical treatment.

Our Goal

Our goal is to deliver the following to our readers:

  • Research-driven articles and information on parenting, mental health, self-care, family bonding, activities for kids, pregnancy and early parenthood, miscarriage, therapist resources, and more.
  • Recommendations on high-quality resources, tools, and products intended to foster family wellness and improve the parenthood experience.
  • Support for our community of parents, caregivers, and professionals via our social media channels, email newsletter, and our content, tools, & resources.

Affiliate Disclosure

An integral part of our high-quality content is the information we provide with regard to useful resources, tools, services, and products.

Some articles and posts contain affiliate links, including links to Amazon, and as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

I only recommend resources, products, and services that I adore and find to be useful. If you happen to make a purchase using an affiliate link, I will earn a small commission, at no additional cost to you.

My recommendations are based on personal experience with the product or service, as well as a TON of in-depth research. I only share resources, tools, products, and services that meet high standards of quality and value – I would never recommend something just to make money.

While this site is a true labor of love, affiliate commission helps sustain the site and mitigate the costs of running it. A lot of time and effort goes into each article, ensuring superior content and dependable information. Any affiliate commission received helps maintain that level of quality. 🙂
